The village of entertainment professionals that brings this powerhouse production to life in the cruise line’s signature AquaTheater venue includes an all-woman cast of 20 talented athletes. They are among the world’s top slackliners, high divers, aerialists, synchronized swimmers and more, and they perform deck-defying feats with power, passion and teamwork to create a showstopping experience night after night on an unparalleled “stage” that features advanced technology to push the envelope across all the senses.

December 2022 – Royal Caribbean International officially welcomed Wonder of the Seas into the family in its new year-round home of Port Canaveral, Florida. Godmother and Wonder Mom from Pennsylvania Marie McCrea bestowed a blessing of safekeeping on the new ship, its crew and all who sail on it. In the one-of-a-kind AquaTheater, she was joined by Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty, Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley, and her daughter, Allie, who nominated her for the role as part of the TikTok search launched by the cruise line.

November 2022 – Following a widespread TikTok search that saw 16,000 videos submitted, Royal Caribbean has selected Wonder Mom and Pennsylvanian Marie McCrea as Wonder of the Seas’ Godmother. Nominated by her daughter, Marie is a devoted mother, wife and cancer survivor who has overcome adversity with incredible strength. She will accept the honor of blessing Wonder during a celebratory naming ceremony at its first year-round homeport of Port Canaveral, Florida, on Dec. 9, 2022.
