April 2022 – On April 5, Royal Caribbean International began construction on the next ship in the revolutionary Oasis Class at a steel-cutting ceremony held at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. Debuting spring 2024, the sixth Oasis Class ship will be named Utopia of the Seas and the first of its class powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas).
