October 2024 – Great Scott! Royal Caribbean is setting the stage to introduce cult-classic hit “Back to the Future The Musical” on the highly anticipated Star of the Seas in summer 2025. The Olivier Award-winning musical that is lighting up stages on Broadway, the West End and beyond will debut as a headlining adventure of many on the next ultimate combination of the best of every vacation when it arrives in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida. In store will be surprise Royal Caribbean twists to the musical hit, and along for the ride will be the show’s original creatives. From auditions in London and New York City to the first show, the journey to opening night will bring to life a time-traveling adventure for the ages for fans and every type of vacationer alike.

Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas reached a major construction milestone as it floated for the first time. The teams behind the construction celebrated the moment as the new vacation then moved into the outfitting pier – and the final stages – at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland. Watch how it all unfolded, complete with more than 92 million gallons of water, four tugboats and a shot from a cannon.
